Sea Turtle Camp Welcomes Divemaster Caleb Fallon!
We are very excited to introduce Caleb Fallon as our SCUBA Camp Unit Leader for the 2017 season! Caleb has an incredibly diverse SCUBA background and we are very fortunate to have him with us this summer. Originally from Michigan, Caleb relocated to Wilmington, NC with his beautiful wife, Erin, after serving in the Air Force as a member of their Combat Control Team (one of three Special Ops divisions of the United States Armed Services). Caleb is currently a student at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
During his time in the military, Caleb earned his PADI Open Water certification in the fall of 2011 and then went on to procure his PADI Master SCUBA Diver certification. Obtaining your Master SCUBA Diver certification is no easy task. All candidates are required to complete the following certifications:
- PADI Open Water Certification
- PADI Advanced Open Water Certification
- Rescue Diving
- Five Specialty Diver Certifications
- Minimum log of 50 dives
In addition to the standard requirements PADI has in place for their certifications, Caleb also went through various training exercises while part of the Special Ops Team, including night navigation, rescue and recovery dives, and ship takeover. Most of Caleb’s dives have taken place in the warm Gulf Coast waters of Destin, FL, which has since become a favorite dive spot of his.
When he’s not diving, he enjoys other water sports including wake boarding, snorkeling, swimming, and hanging out with his dog. Being able to combine his love of the water with his desire to hang out with sea turtles and make a positive impact on the environment is what he’s looking forward to most this summer.
Come join Caleb and the Sea Turtle Camp Scuba team this summer to earn your Open Water or Advanced Open Water PADI Certification. Click here for more information!
