Sophie Lodico
Sophie is a graduate from the University of New Hampshire majoring in environmental science with a minor in marine biology. She grew up in Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay where her love for the outdoors began, sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding and diving. She loves all things outdoors as well as traveling, photography and anything crafty or art related.
Sophie studied abroad in New Zealand where she learned about ecology and environmental perspectives. There she also worked on a research project studying Hochstetter frogs. Her work continued with oysters as an oyster restoration intern on the Chesapeake and then at UNH where she worked in a lab on campus studying microbe communities. She is currently working in St Thomas USVI as a snorkel guide with sea turtles but is excited to return to Sea Turtle Camp and take on Hawaii sharing her passion for the ocean and marine education!
